Folkstyle and Freestyle Wrestling
Folkstyle wrestling, also known as collegiate wrestling, is a style of amateur wrestling practiced at high school (UIL), college and university (NCAA) levels in the United States.
Freestyle wrestling is a style of amateur wrestling practiced throughout the world. Freestyle and Greco-Roman are the two styles of wrestling in the Olympic games.
Cypress Wrestling Club (CWC) offers rookie, novicius (novice) and veteranus (open) co-ed classes in both folkstyle and freestyle wrestling. Additionally, CWC offers Flexibility, Strength and Conditioning (FSC) classes. Enrollment in wrestling classes is not a requirement for FSC classes, but will be a factor given a wait list.
